This carrier is great. very easy to install and operate. The fact that you can load your car even when the bikes are on the carrier is a huge advantage.
Easily caries 4 bikes.
Please note that kid bikes under size 24" can't be loaded easily. You will need to be creative in order to load them as the carrier dimensions are for adults bike.

I bought this rack for our 2010 Honda Odyssey. This rack is awesome when it comes to being able to access your liftgate with a fully loaded rack. The rack is a little heavy, but it screams quality seeing how it can support 4 bikes and swing completely out of the way....If it weighed 5 lbs I probably be a little worried my bikes would go flying off the back without me noticing. Amazon beats normal retailers 9 out of 10 times as I frequently shop here...sadly, this was the one time I found it cheaper elsewhere for $[..] and free shipping at a stand alone online retailer not affiliated with Amazon at [...]. I bought my hitch here too for both of my cars. Surprisingly, putting the hitch on is a snap. Most auto manufacturers sell you a car with prefabbed threaded frames that you just have to bolt the thing up to...no drilling required. Don't waste your money taking it somewhere to have it done. Save yourself the money and do it yourself, not to mention saving yourself 50% by buying it on Amazon!!!

So I've had my rack for about a year now. Usually, we load up our 2 bikes to tote to some of our favorite trails. We have had a few occasions to load 4 bikes, and it is very difficult...although not impossible. 3 bikes is fine, 2 is downright easy. The built in straps and cradles hold the bike on perfectly, with no fear of coming loose. And, after a year, there is no sign of wear and tear on the straps (I kinda wondered if they would withstand the test of time - so far so good). I had read that the bar that extends into the trailer hitch is too long for use with a Toyota 4Runner - that the bar hits the spare tire that is mounted under the trunk area. That was true. So, I cut off a few inches from the end - and it seems to work fine. I'm not sure, again, if that has weakened the unit, but time will tell. For now, it seems to be fine. The other problem I had was with the built-in locking strap. When the bike holding arms are in the vertical position (swinging down), the lock strap slips out of the end of the arm and drags on the concrete unless you remember to strap it up. I've done this 2x now - and let's just say it doesn't really lock anymore. I love, love, love the way it swings out, even fully loaded! It is so convenient to swing it away and have full access to the trunk area. So, all in all, I really like it. If I didn't have to modify it (and worry that I've somehow compromised the integrity of the unit) to fit my trailer hitch, I'd give it a 5-star rating...particularly since our normal usage is only 2 bikes. It's not really suited for full-time 4 bikes. Lastly, the unit is quite heavy and cumbersome for storing when not mounted on the SUV.
